Michigan State Fair, Detroit

The Michigan State Fair in Detroit is the site of the oldest such event in the U.S. - since 1849. Michigan salutes its agricultural heritage with farm stock and dairy exhibits, baby animals, horse shows, and arts and crafts. It’s a fun family event featuring competitions to enter, Midway rides, carnival games, big name and homegrown entertainment and once-a-year food treats like cotton candy, corn dogs and elephant ears.
