Michigan is home to more than 650 public golf courses with great stay and play and golf experiences spread out across every region of the state. When golfers look to escape to our Great Lakes state, the first thought is to head to northern Michigan, but on the way north, you will pass some fun and challenging layouts in Mid-Michigan.

1. Tullymore Resort – Stanwood
Tullymore is conveniently located 45 minutes Northeast of Grand Rapids and features two championship layouts, the original St. Ives course designed by Jerry Matthews, and Tullymore, created by nationally acclaimed architect, Jim Engh. The name Tullymore was inspired by a village in Ireland, and the course inspires great golf. It features generous movements of the fairways with clearly visible approaches and has five sets of tees for golfers of all levels to enjoy. 2. Ferris State University Katke Golf Club – Big Rapids

The Spruce Golf Course is one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in Michigan. Located on a hillside overlooking Lake Cadillac, the course winds through scenic pine forests and gentle hills.
