Manton is a stop along the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails.

Manton Trails and RV Park is spread across 80 acres with 146 sites and surrounded by thousands of acres of State land to explore and close to the State’s ORV and Side-by-Side Trail Head (MISS-KAL) of the Manistee National Forest.  Several state forest campgrounds in the area are popular with the anglers and rustic campers.
