Launched in 1988, the annual Grand Rapids Pride Festival has become one of the city’s largest one-day events – and it’s getting even bigger in 2025, as the Festival expands to two days!
What to expect in 2025?
A joyous celebration of the entire LGBTQIA+ community featuring tens of thousands of attendees, fabulous entertainment, a food court and beer tent, 200+ vendor booths, a children and family area, and more. Past performers have included Big Freedia, Robin S., Steve Grand and Alex Newell – this year’s headliner and other details will be announced closer to the event.
Where is the Festival held?
In Calder Plaza, the largest public gathering space in downtown Grand Rapids. The outdoor plaza is named for the 42-ton, bright red Alexander Calder sculpture at the center of the space.
What does it cost to attend the Pride Festival?
Admission is free, but donations are always welcome. The Pride Festival is the largest annual fundraiser for the Grand Rapids Pride Center, which has served the local LGBTQIA+ community since 1987.
