Algonac State Park is located along the St. Clair River near the U.S. / Canada border. The park offers diverse terrain for hiking along the Savanna Trail. The 2.4-mile loop travels through oak savanna, home to a wide variety of plant life and wildlife. The trail connects to Blazing Star Prairie Trail. In order to complete the full loop of the Savanna Trail, you will travel along the park road for 0.3 miles. The trailhead can be picked up just near the modern campground. Hiking and cross-country skiing are both allowed on the pathway, weather permitting.
