The Anton Art Center's mission is to enrich and inspire people of all ages through the arts. We achieve this through exhibits, educational programming, community outreach and special events. Our success comes from creative leadership, a strong sense of community and the generosity of our members and supporters. Since its inception in 1969, the center has been housed in the historic Carnegie Library Building in downtown Mount Clemens. The only facility of its kind in Macomb County, the neoclassical structure is listed in the State of Michigan Historic Register. The Art Center presents regular art exhibitions, an annual art fair and Christmas Market and offers art classes for all ages. The Anton Art Center's Gift Shop has work by dozens of Michigan artists in all media, for all budgets.
