Avery Lake State Forest Campground

This secluded, rustic campground is nestled among hardwoods on Avery Lake. There are 16 sites for tent and small trailer use, 10 of which will accommodate a 40-foot long vehicle or trailer. Three of the sites are walk-in sites for tents only. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 9 miles southwest of Atlanta via County Road 487 and Avery Lake Road. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
