In the early 1900's commercial fisherman shipped tons of perch, walleye, herring, whitefish, and carp to New York and Chicago in refrigerated box cars. Most of the work done there today is done in a similar fashion. The company is located on 1st street in Bay Port. Free guided tours are available on the shores of Lake Huron.
