Body
The Drayton Plains Nature Center, located in Waterford Township, Michigan operated by the Waterford Parks and Recreation Department, contains 138 acres, an expanse of nearly one mile in length, and exhibits our Earth’s finest treasure—Nature. The grounds include woods, ponds, streams and a prairie. Along with expansive trails and ponds, we offer an Interpretive Center that is open seasonally May-October that houses displays of specimens in their natural habitat, a gift shop with nature oriented items and bird seed for hands-on experience. Trails are open dawn to dusk year-round.
