Glidden Lake State Forest Campground
This peaceful 23-site rustic campground sits on the eastern shore of Glidden Lake and is perfect for tents or small-trailer use. The sites are surrounded by natural forested growth and are equipped with a picnic table, fire ring and a hand-well pump for potable water. The day-use area has a gravel boat launch and a sandy swim area. The campground is a "carry-in, carry-out," which means there are no trash barrels provided, so please plan trash removal accordingly. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
Access to the Lake Mary Plains Pathway trail head is located just steps from the campground and day-use parking lot. The Lake Mary Plains Pathway system takes visitors on several connected trails totaling more than 9 miles of beautiful Upper Peninsula rolling terrain. Trail sections are marked and maps are posted on site.
Located in Iron County, just 6 miles east of Crystal Falls and 1 mile south of Highway M-69 on Lake Mary Road.
