Body
The Aspen Trail is a 3-mile loop trail, beginning at the visitor center parking lot, which is open to hiking, mountain biking, cross-county skiing and snowshoeing. The parking lot is plowed in the winter and can be accessed year-round, along with visitor center restrooms. Mostly flat with rolling hills, the trail winds around the eastern portion of the park through old-growth pines. The trail is divided into three sections – connecting to the Deer Run Trail, which connects to the Weary Legs Trail – with crossover trails to shorten your journey, offering lengths of 3, 5 and 7.5 miles. The trail is typically traveled in a counterclockwise direction as indicated on the trail map.
