Take a self guided walking tour of the Heritage Hill Historic District, which highlights examples of most American architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries. The neighborhood is close to downtown, medical institutions, and universities. Many of the early leaders of Grand Rapids, including lumber barons, teachers, and legislators, lived in the Heritage Hill neighborhood.
