Hopside Brewery came to fruition in 2018 after five local friends decided it was time to share their passion with the rest of the world. After finding the perfect location in charming downtown Alpena, MI the remodeling & construction began. Over three years and countless hours of hard work later the doors were open to the public. Hopside Brewery strives to provide a chill, relaxing, and fun atmosphere with a continuous rotation of highly drinkable beers and unique comfort food to go along with them.

Loved this place
We were staying in Alpena and checked out this brewery. We liked the beer so much we went back for beer and pretzels the next day. They have outside seating that is dog friendly.
