Memorial Island Park is Michigan's first Vietnam memorial that honors those who served from Michigan. There is 16 plaques featuring 2705 of Michigan's casualties, MIA's, and POW's. There is a flag gallery, footbridge, and an information booth. It is set on a tranquil river bank with picnic shelters nearby.
