St Ignace Scuba LLC
Join us on the 28-ft dive boat INTREPID as we visit the
Straits of Mackinac Shipwreck Preserve. We can carry 4-6 divers per trip,
with 2 trips per day possible for larger groups.
More than a dozen buoyed sites give options for
divers of all skill levels. Newer divers can pose for a photo at the figurehead of the Sandusky, a brig that sank in an
1856 storm. More advanced divers will want
to make several dives to fully explore the 604-ft steel self-unloader Cedarville,
at depths to 110-ft. Technical divers can
practice their skills investigating the lower decks of the wooden steamer Eber
Ward, at depths approaching 150-ft.
Snorkelers will enjoy viewing the centerboard and iron ore cargo of the
Albemarle, and chase fish over the large sandstone building blocks on the
C.H. Johnson.
Our large-capacity air station can handle up to 12 cylinders
at a time, for air or Nitrox (to EAN40) for certified divers. We have flexible hours to accommodate those
that stay late on the water, just give us a call with your ETA.
